Program notes:
The ouroboros, a snake that devours its own tail, symbolizes eternal continuity. It encloses a defined space and forms a boundary between what is inside and outside of it, a spatial-physical boundary that is constantly fluid. It is a metaphor for the collapse of time—a nonlinear temporality that develops in vain, merging beginnings and ends, a constant cycle of decay and restoration that is perpetually changing yet remains static. This piece reflects these ideas, using the four organs as a single corpus divided into four, enveloping the listeners.
