Yannai Schrire was born in Jerusalem in 2006. He began studying piano in 2020 and composition the following year at the Israeli Arts and Science Academy. In 2023 he won first prize in the National Composition Competition (ages 15-21) of the Israeli Conservatory of Music's for his composition Kufsa'ot. He has collaborated internationally with performers, including the Meitar Ensemble and others.
He is currently pursuing a BA in composition at the Mozarteum Universität Salzburg under the tutelage of Sarah Nemtsov, where he is exploring the various facets and intricacies of sound.
